Job description

Role Title: Environmental EMS and Carbon Consultant (ISO 14001)

Part Time/Full Time: Full Time

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Accountable to: Director of Energy

Region: London

Commercial Terms/Rate: Negotiable

Overall purpose of the role

Thechosen candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental management systems (EMS 14001) and carbon management throughto successful certification.

The role

You will be responsible for programmes that will deliver positive behavioral change to improve the environmental performance of the organisations we work with. Your remit will be heavily weighted towards: * developing and delivering environmental management systems that can be certified and deliver results * analysing existing management systems and carbon reduction programmes and providing recommendations for improvement. * generating ideas and creating resource tools for communications campaigns. * delivering training and workshops with clients on environmental management systems and ISO 14001. * maintaining knowledge on Climate Change issues and policy * designing carbon management and energy efficiency programmes. * coordinating events and training with clients . * staying at the forefront of the latest culture change, training and engagement methods.

Education, qualifications & training

Experience and Skills * Implemented/been involved in an EMS (ISO 14001) through to certification * Experience of internal audits * Knowledge of Waste law (Duty of Care), Chemicals (COSHH/CHIP2),etc * Good knowledge of Climate Change issues and what individuals and their employer scan do to reduce their impact on the environment * Ability to produce well structured documents using appropriate language * Attention to detail * Project management skills with proven experience of project completion and successful delivery * Client interfacing skills * Good communication skills, a team player and the ability to work to deadlines * Ability to work under own initiative * A genuine personal commitment to helping individuals and wider society to mitigating climate change
