Job Description

My Client a large private hospital just north of Harlow is opening a brand new Operating Theatre within its already established Hospital and to do this they will be looking at taking on only the best candidates within operating practice. My client is looking to take on four ODPs with at least 2-3 years experience. Specialist nurses within either Recovery, Anaesthetics or Scrub will be considered although having two or more of those skills and experiences would be an advantage to your application.There is a Senior ODP position available managing Gynae and Urology another Senior ODP Position managing Max Fax and another Senior ODP\'s position covering General Surgery. There are also four other ODP positions covering all of these theatres.Salaries range depending upon experience please click the \'apply now\' button for more information.HPC / NMC Registration essential - please do not apply for this post if you do not hold UK registration:1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo provide a high standard of peri and post operative care to the patient and assistance to Consultants.2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION Reports to Theatre Manager. Liaises closely with staff from other departments. Liaises effectively with other hospitals, suppliers and manufacturers. Maintains effective communication internally and externally.3. SCOPE OF JOB Delivery of patient care. Assist Consultant Anaesthetist and (or) Surgeons. Assist Theatre Manager in cost management of the Operating Department. Assist in the education of staff and ODP student.4. DIMENSIONS AND LIMITS OF AUTHORITY Responsible for the efficient and safe management of theatre sessions as allocated on a rostered basis. To provide good customer care.5. QUALIFICATIONS Registered General Nurse or Enrolled Nurse. Anaesthetic Course.
