Job Description
This is an opportunity to move into a buoyant sector and to build upon your technical and managerial skills. Our client is looking for an engineer from the civil, structural, manufacturing or fabrication sectors. For over fifty years they have innovated, improved and perfected engineering processes used in industry with particular emphasis on the rail sector covering high speed, heavy haul, light rail, mass transit and tram systems. They enjoy a prominent position within their industry and their high level of employee satisfaction is reflected by a very low staff turnover. The vacancy is a result of their succession planning as one of their key managers is approaching retirement. It is a preparatory position leading to responsibility for manufacturing processes and product development and input on business development initiatives. You will need to be a Degree qualified engineer, or equivalent, with the ability to learn new skills. Furthermore, you will need to be a good communicator with ability to forge good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients. There is excellent scope for career progression.
